Alo Yoga, the U.S.-based sports fashion powerhouse, has marked a significant milestone in its global expansion by inaugurating its first store in São Paulo, Brazil. Situated within the prestigious JK Iguatemi shopping center, this new location strengthens Alo Yoga’s foothold in Latin America through a strategic partnership with Panama’s Dorben Group.
The São Paulo launch also signals the debut of Alo Yoga’s official online sales platform in Brazil, enhancing accessibility to the brand’s signature athleisure offerings. Looking ahead, the company plans to open two additional Brazilian stores by 2025—one at Iguatemi Faria Lima in São Paulo and another at Diamond Mall in Belo Horizonte.
This Brazilian expansion complements Alo Yoga’s broader Latin American growth strategy, which includes seven new store openings announced in May across Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Panama. The brand initially entered the Latin American market in 2023 via Mexico, partnering with Sordo Madaleno and establishing five outlets, beginning with the Artz Pedregal shopping center.
Founded in 2007 in Los Angeles, Alo Yoga now operates roughly 100 stores worldwide, primarily across the United States and Canada. Its European expansion kicked off in 2023 with a flagship opening in London. The brand’s name—an acronym for Air, Land, and Ocean—reflects its commitment to sustainability, a core principle since its inception as a specialist in yoga apparel and accessories.
Alo Yoga’s dynamic growth underscores its ambition to become a dominant global player in the athleisure market, combining innovative retail presence with a strong digital platform.
