Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) held a Common Yoga Protocol session across its affiliated colleges on Sunday as part of the Yogandhra Campaign 2025. The event was organized in the lead-up to International Yoga Day, which will be observed on June 21.
The session ran from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and saw participation from students, faculty, and non-teaching staff of Medical, Dental, AYUSH, Nursing, and Paramedical colleges. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pulala Chandrasekhar commended the principals and staff for their role in organizing the event. He also emphasized the importance of yoga in promoting holistic health, in line with this year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
Registrar Dr. Vemireddy Radhika Reddy highlighted that yoga acts as preventive medicine and supports a healthy lifestyle and overall wellness.
The event is part of a broader campaign contributing to Andhra Pradesh’s state-level International Yoga Day celebrations, scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam.
