Sunrise Yoga Brings Peace and Wellness to Clinton Square

Clinton Square welcomes early risers and yoga enthusiasts alike to its serene Sunrise Yoga sessions, a revitalizing experience offered every Wednesday morning.

Hosted by Shellie Rizza, the owner of Salt City Holistic Health in collaboration with Metro Fitness, this free program invites participants to stretch and breathe next to the tranquil fountain at Clinton Square. Rizza emphasizes the holistic benefits of yoga, highlighting its positive impacts on physical and mental health.

“Yoga is incredibly inclusive and beneficial for everyone, whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience,” Rizza remarked. “It’s a personal journey where you dictate the pace. While some may experience muscle soreness initially, the practice often brings calmness, mental clarity, and better sleep.”

The structured nature of Sunrise Yoga serves as a motivator for attendees, encouraging regular participation and fostering a sense of commitment to one’s wellness journey.

For those questioning the merits of early morning exercise, Rizza affirms its advantages extend beyond physical fitness. “Starting your day with movement sets a positive tone for the hours ahead,” she explained. “It primes your mind and body to tackle challenges head-on.”

The next Sunrise Yoga sessions are scheduled for 6:30 A.M. on July 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st at Clinton Square, near the fountain. Participants are encouraged to wear suitable attire, bring a yoga mat, and embrace a positive mindset for this energizing community event.
